The Ragged Boys were formed in 1982 to celebrate Maritime Year.

Featuring leading artists from Southampton's folk music scene, they present on this CD a selection of Sea Songs, both old and new.
All the tracks first released on cassette are re-issued on this CD along with a 'bonus' track - Donegal Danny.

The Ragged Boys are:
Ken Stephens – lead vocal, melodeon, concertina and harmonica
Jim Bailey – fiddle, cittern and vocals
Richard Dean – guitar, whistle and lead vocal on tracks 2,4 & 5
Chris Buet – guitar, vocals and banjo
Lucky Arden – mandolin, guitar, banjo and vocals on track 6
