| TAKE 6 is a major project improving public access to the archives of the Vaughan Williams Memorial Library by making six important collections available online.
Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, this site hosts six major manuscript collections - those of Janet Blunt, Anne Gilchrist, George Gardiner, the Hammond brothers, Francis Collinson and George Butterworth. 22,000 digital images display the actual papers and notebooks that have been locked away in a small room in Camden Town for over half a century. Now they are at your finger tips.

This website is the result of archival work carried out within this project and will form the platform for more materials to be made available in the future.
Take 6 is taking folk songs, singing games and dances, from the archives of the EFDSSs Vaughan Williams Memorial Library, to children in primary schools in London, Hampshire and Lancashire; including areas they were originally collected 100 years ago.
A new website: www.teachingfolksong.com has been launched containing many downloadable written, audio and visual resources for using folk songs in schools.
